Kentuckiana.net is a community-powered project that documents, uplifts, and connects the people, places, and creative energy of our region on both sides of the Ohio River. We publish original journalism, profiles, lists, awards, and art. We invite you to participate. This page shows you how.

What We Mean by “Kentuckiana”

Kentuckiana is the shared community centered on the Ohio River, including Louisville Metro and surrounding Kentucky counties, as well as Southern Indiana communities like New Albany, Jeffersonville, and Clarksville. Our coverage follows stories, not borders.

It’s not anything official. It is the hobby of it’s creator presently. We operate with community goals and transparent partnerships. Our structure may evolve as we grow.

Yes. Pitch opinion pieces that speak to regional issues. We edit for clarity and accuracy.
